Loading dock monitoring AI: see how long trucks really spend at the dock
Delays at the dock are easy to feel and hard to prove. Eye AI loading and unloading monitoring is being built to time each truck's stay at a bay through your existing CCTV and log activity at the dock, so you can see where time is lost. The goal is simple numbers from cameras you already have: how long each truck stayed, and when the dock was idle.

The problem
Trucks wait, and drivers and customers complain, but nobody knows how long the stays really were.
Idle bays and busy bays look the same from the office.
Disputes about delays are settled by argument because there is no record.
How it works
- Camera-readiness check. We look at the views over your dock doors and bays and tell you which suit the job.
- Mark the bays. You choose which bays to time and outline each one on the camera view.
- Pilot.A computer at your site analyses the video, which stays on your network. During the pilot we review the results with you.
- Read the timings. Each stay is logged with start, end and duration on your password-protected dashboard, with dock activity by hour.
What you get
- Dwell time per bay and per truck.
- Idle-time spotting, so you can see when a bay was occupied but quiet.
- Dock activity by hour.
- Searchable history and CSV export for reviews with carriers.
- A motion safety net that shows movement the system could not name.
Where it is used
Honest limits
- Loading and unloading monitoring is launching with pilot partners. It is in development and not yet generally available.
- We publish no accuracy figure now. Figures will be published after on-site validation, with the conditions stated.
- Matching a particular truck in and out relies on plate reading. Per-truck turnaround reports are therefore available only where number-plate reading has been verified at your site, and that needs a site survey. Bay timings without plates are a separate, simpler measure.
- A truck hidden behind another vehicle or a door, or a view at night, can make timings less reliable.
- Queue wait times are on our roadmap and are not available.
- Pilots are scoped to your requirements first: we agree the duration, the number of cameras and how success is checked on your own footage before anything starts.
Questions about loading and unloading monitoring
Is it available today?
No. It is launching with pilot partners. Ask about the pilot if you want to take part.
Can it tell me which truck was which?
Only where number-plate reading is verified at your site. Otherwise it times bay occupancy.
Does it measure how long trucks queue outside?
No. Queue wait times are not available.
Do I need new cameras?
Not necessarily. We check your existing dock views first.
How accurate are the timings?
We have no published figure yet. We will publish accuracy after validation on site.
